FINALE

FINALE
I have chosen these photoshopped images to capture my final proposal for the boat shed redesign. These images better encapsulate the feel my boat cave rather than a clip from Cryengine. In my final design I wanted this area to be a public space that can be fun and interactive as well as a place of well being and rest. The top level structure has glass walls and door leading out to the balcony/platform. This allows shelter from the wellington wind and rain as well as providing an elevated outdoor area to enjoy the sun and the breeze on those days that permits it. There is Net Linz in the interior of the cave as an interactive sculpture that also provides safety netting and an easier way to climb to the second level. The space is a place of playfulness as well as tranquility, using the rough rugged rock of the cave walls as well as the synthetic netting. I wanted the boat cave to be a reflection of  the dramatic dynamics of Wellington weather as well as a form of escape from it.
